DOWNER, MINNESOTA (KFGO-AM) -- The Minnesota State Patrol says a semi driver hauling a steel storage tank lost control on I-94 east of Moorhead early Wednesday morning. The tank came to a rest in the middle of Eastbound I-94, where it was hit by a second semi that was hauling cattle. A third semi ran ran over steel on the interstate and sustained tire damage.
The driver who was hauling the storage tank, James Barton of Waite park, suffered serious injuries. He was taken to a Fargo hospital.
The initial crash happened around 4:30 a.m. and slowed traffic for several hours.
