Bismarck, N.D. (AP) _ North Dakota's State-owned flour mill is undergoing an expansion costing more than $27 million.

General Manager Vance Taylor says the expansion that should be done next fall will make the Grand Forks facility the largest wheat-grinding factory in the U.S. He says it's needed to meet growing flour demand.

North Dakota Wheat Commission Marketing Director Jim Peterson says the expansion also should help ease a backlog of grain shipments that are largely blamed on increased crude oil shipments from the State's booming oil patch.

Peterson says the added milling capacity means more options for farmers who could ship wheat by truck.
