FARGO, N.D. (KFGO-AM) –- In preparation for the ESPN College GameDay broadcast, the City of Fargo and the Fargo Police Department are asking spectators to be respectful of the downtown area and help keep it clean.
Alcohol will not be allowed in public spaces, on roads, sidewalks or public parking lots. Under Fargo City Ordinance 25-1513, consuming alcohol in public spaces is strictly prohibited and is enforceable with a $100 fine. Spectators wishing to tailgate may do so in the designated spaces on NDSU campus.
Spectators are also asked to help keep the downtown area clean by throwing trash and recycling into the appropriate bins. The Solid Waste Department will be providing additional bins in the downtown area and helping the ESPN Green Team with cleanup after the event. The Public Works Department will sweep the streets before they are reopened to the public after the event. The remainder of Broadway will be swept early next week.
