FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- ESPN will broadcast from Fargo again next week as North Dakota State University continues its run for a record four straight national championships.
College GameDay will broadcast from downtown Fargo on Saturday when North Dakota State takes on Incarnate Word.
NDSU Associate Athletic Director Troy Goergen says discussions with the sports network began on Friday. The Fargo date hinged on NDSU defeating Weber State Saturday night in Ogden, Utah. The Bison won the game 24-7.
Fargo Police Chief Keith Ternes says last year's experience should make for a seamless and smooth event. Last year, at least 6,000 people descended on downtown Fargo for the Gameday broadcast. University Interim Athletic Director Prakash Mathew says shuttle buses will run between downtown and the campus.
Tailgating for those with reserved spots at the Fargodome will open at 7am Saturday with others allowed at 7:30am.
KFGO, the flagship radio station for Bison athletics, will have frequent updates throughout the week on preparations for GameDay Fargo 2014.
