FERGUS FALLS, MN (KFGO-AM LAKES RADIO) -- A woman who called 911 and reported that a man had a gun and a child had been hurt at a home in Fergus Falls may have been hallucinating.
The call led to a large police presence and the activation of a heavily armed tactical team Wed. The woman and child left the house north of downtown Fergus Falls before police entered with a search warrant. They didn't find anyone inside.
Police say they'd been called to the home in the past after the woman reported that she'd been threatened by a man with a shotgun. He was arrested at that time.
The child has been turned over to social services while the Otter Tail County attorney's office decides how to handle the case.
