GRAND FORKS (AP) - The Grand Forks Air Force Base says the military is investigating allegations of misconduct involving a proficiency test.

A statement issued through the base says an airman "possessed images of test material'' and shared it with other airmen. Officials have not determined how much of the test was obtained or whether the test was taken by anyone after it was shared.

The statement says "at no time was safety, security or effectiveness of the air traffic control mission ever in jeopardy.''

Officials say the airmen allegedly involved in the incident are not being scheduled for air traffic control duties at this time.

The Air Force is sending a three-member team of air traffic control experts to Grand Forks to inspect the base training programs.
