Shoplifting suspect sought by Fargo police after threatening store security officer with knife

FARGO (KFGO AM) Fargo police hope store surveillance video will help identify and track down a shoplifting suspect who got away after pulling a knife on a loss prevention officer.

It happened Wednesday afternoon at the Hornbachers on 32nd Avenue South.

Lt. Joel Vettel says the suspect was confronted outside the store and while being detained for police, the man drew a knife and threatened the security officer before running from the store. The security officer followed him for a short distance but lost him. A police K-9 was unable to pick up his track.
