BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The federal Transportation Department has awarded more than $4.1 million in grants to nine North Dakota airports.
Sens. John Hoeven and Heidi Heitkamp say the money is for infrastructure improvements at the airports in Walhalla, Rolla, Cando, Fargo, Lisbon, Valley City, Casselton, Harvey and Edgeley.
The Walhalla airport is getting the most money _ nearly $1.2 million for runway, taxiway and apron improvements. The Rolla airport is getting $1.15 million for similar work. The other airports are getting smaller grants.
