GRAND FORKS (KFGO-AM) -- Despite being four feet over flood stage a Red River swim marathon will go on as scheduled this weekend in the Greater Grand Forks area.
Participants are trained swimmers from across the nation with expertise in distance swimming.
The so-called Extreme North Dakota Watersports Endurance Test, or End-Wet, will involve as many as forty solo swimmers and ten relay teams. Each swimmer is required to have a rescue floation device attached to them and be accompanied by a support boat or kayak.
