MOORHEAD (KFGO-AM) Tuesday night's police pursuit criss-crossed up to a mile of Village Green Golf Course and left quite a mess.
Jim Heifort lives along the fairway and couldn't believe what he was seeing. He says "it didn't end, everybody was coming coming around looking for that son-of-gun. Heifort said "they should sentence him to a pile of dirt and a wheelbarrow and let him fill in all the tracks on the golf course."
Course superintendent Rick Downer is in charge of repairing the damage. He says the main damage was indentations left by the weight of the cars. Downer says the suspect drove across a several greens and fairways and left skid marks when he locked up his brakes to stop from plunging into a pond.
Downer says damage is not affecting play but he says it will be a couple of months before the damage is no longer visible.
