FARGO, N.D. (KFGO AM) -- Parts of the region took a hit from mother nature over the weekend.
Heavy rain fell over southeastern North Dakota and western Minnesota leaving fields under water, some rural roads closed and streams and rivers on the rise.
The two day total at Hector International Airport in Fargo is 1.85 inches, but amounts varied across the metro. one report of 3.50 inches in West Fargo.
The Red in fargo is expected to rise to about 22-1/2 feet by Friday, and will mean the closure of North Elm between 14th and 15th avenues.
No other problems are expected.
Rainfall amounts elsewhere include:
5.0" Leonard,N.D. 4.5" Verndale, near Wadena 4.0" near Ashby in Otter Tail County.
Two-to-two-and-a-half inch amounts were common across Clay, southern Cass, parts of Richland and Wilkin counties.
Three-quarter inch hail was reported around 4 yesterday afternoon north of Fergus Falls.
