COLFAX, ND (KFGO-AM) - Two people were injured in a crash on I-29, 20 miles south of Fargo Friday morning.
The Highway Patrol told KFGO'S Gary Rogers on scene that an older model pickup was having mechanical trouble and was traveling at about 25 mph when it was rear-ended by a brand new Mercedes Benz sedan going 75 mph. That driver came upon the pickup too fast to stop.
Troopers say seatbelts and airbags likely saved both drivers from serious injury or death. Both were transported by ambulance to Sanford in Fargo with minor injuries. Both vehicles were totaled. The patrol has not yet determined if any charges will be filed.
