FARGO (KFGO-AM) - A controversial campaign sign projected on a Fargo water tower will not result in charges against city commission candidate John Strand.
Fargo police opened a criminal investigation after someone complained that the sign may violate state election laws. Strand says he's glad the controversy is finally over.
Cass County States Attorney Birch Burdick says his decision applies only to Strand's case. He says it's not intended to declare a "uniform policy" on images projected on public property.
