MOORHEAD, Minn. (KFGO-AM) - A Fargo man is facing felony assault charges after prosecutors say a pipe wrench was used in the bloody beating of a man in Dilworth.
Court documents say at around 1:30 am Sunday, Dilworth police were called to a disturbance inside a home. When officers arrived, they found the victim covered in blood with a softball-sized depression on top of his head.
The man was taken by ambulance to Sanford where doctors discovered two skull fractures and a broken right arm.
Forty-one-year-old Matthew Desjarlais is charged with first degree felony assault.
Desjarlais was later arrested at a home in Fargo, where police found him hiding under a shelf.
