WASHINGTON (KFGO) - Minnesota Senator and Democratic Presidential hopeful Amy Klobuchar says she is optimistic about her chances in the upcoming Nevada primary. She appeared on CBS Face the Nation Sunday morning and says she has received double-digit support in a recent poll and has received the endorsement of The Las Vegas Sun newspaper.
Klobuchar's campaign continues to gain traction since the New Hampshire debate raising $12 million while taking third in the primary. She says she is using the money to increase staff in states across the county.
One of her pitches to Nevada voters is that she is a leader on tourism in the U.S. Senate as tourism remains the state's biggest industry.
The Nevada primary will be held on February 22nd, followed by the South Carolina primary on February 29th.
