DILWORTH, Minn. (KFGO AM) -- The Commander-in-Chief of the VFW is making stops in Minnesota this week.
William Thein visited the Dilworth VFW to talk with local members about what the group is doing to support struggling veterans and their families.
Over the weekend, North Carolina Senator Richard Burr accused the VFW of not doing enough for veteran affairs.
Thein says those statements are false.
Local leaders say they are very active with veterans and youth.
Thein also stopped in Fergus Falls and Thief River Falls and will be in Bemidji today.
