FARGO (KFGO-AM) - Moorhead police are investigating whether a Fargo television news crew broke Minnesota law during a recent visit to a Moorhead school.
The investigation stemmed from a news story about school security on Valley News Live. Police are looking into whether trespass laws were broken when the reporter entered a school without checking in as a visitor.
The reporter also entered a school in Fargo. Police Lt. Joel Vettel says an investigation has not been opened. But Vettel says discussions about the incident have taken place with school officials and the city attorney.
Valley News Live News Director Ike Walker said the story was aired to help figure out why there are security issues with area schools.
