FARGO, ND. (KFGO AM) -- The Fargo School Board is working on redrawing school boundaries as it prepares for the opening of Ed Clapp Elementary in the Fall of 2015.
The adjustments will lessen the burden on Kennedy and Lewis & Clark elementary schools, which are dealing with overcrowding.
A block of homes bordered by I-29, 17th and 32nd avenues and 25th street is currently shared by Kennedy and Lewis and Clark.
Under the proposed boundary adjustment, students in those homes would go to Clapp Elementary, dropping Kennedy's enrollment by 37%, and Lewis and Clark's by 27%.
