FARGO, ND. (KFGO AM) -- Coming soon to Fargo -- flashing yellow turn signals.
City Commissioners have unanimously approved installing the yellow turn lights at eight intersections.
The light requires drivers to yield to on-coming traffic before turning left.
City Traffic Engineer Jeremy Gorden says the flashing turn signals are safer and keep traffic moving.
Fargo now has just one of the yellow turn signals at 45th street and 30th avenue south.
The turn arrows are common in Minnesota.
Moorhead installed several last year.
The upgrade will cost about $5,000 per intersection.
The work should be done by Thanksgiving.
