WAHPETON, N.D. (KFGO-AM) -- A Fargo man is in jail in Wahpeton after a high speed pursuit through the city this Friday afternoon.
Police Chief Scott Thorsteinson was part of the pursuit. His squad car was totaled when 20 year-old Michael Foley backed into him. The chase went west of Wahpeton and back into town. One person suffered minor injuries in a collision at an intersection.
Thorsteinson says the man was driving like a "maniac." He finally brought the pursuit to an end by using a pursuit maneuver on the highway 210 Bypass.
Thorsteinson says Foley had been drinking and his driver's license had been revoked. He's facing charges that include DUI, driving under suspension and felony reckless endangerment.
