GRAFTON, ND (KFGO-AM) - Several roads are closed in Walsh county, ND, where the National Weather Service has issued a flood warning.
Walsh County Emergency Manager Brent Nelson says roads are under water in about a dozen areas due to melting snow and ice jams.
“We’ve got some culverts that are frozen” Nelson said. “We’ve got about a dozen sites that are closed. A few of them are on the county road near the city of Forest River. Most of the other ones are on township roads and minimum-maintenance roads.”
Nelson says sandbags were delivered to a small number of homes as a precaution.
Forecasters say some of the locations that could experience flooding include Grafton, Minto, Park River, Ardoch and Fordville.
