DETROIT LAKES, MINN (KFGO AM) Ten members of the Detroit Lakes High School Hockey Team have been charged with misdemeanors in Becker County District Court in connection with trespassing at Kent Freeman Arena in February.
The incident occurred after the team lost in the sectional playoffs and returned to the arena in Detroit Lakes. Investigators say a player used tape to prevent an arena door from locking, left, and waited for the coach leave before coming back. They skated and used the Zamboni. A small amount of food was taken from the concession stand but no significant damage was found.
The players involved could face fines and community service.
