David Richman is the new head men's basketball coach at North Dakota State University. Richman takes over for Saul Phillips, who was hired by Ohio University after leading NDSU to its first victory in the NCAA Division I tournament. The 35-year-old Richman has been coaching with the Bison for 11 years, including the last seven as the No. 2 man in the program. This is the first head coaching job for the Wahpeton native. NDSU earned its second trip to the NCAA tourney this past season and knocked off Oklahoma in the first round. The Bison lost to San Diego State in their bid to reach the Sweet 16. The Bison are coming off their best two-year span in school history. They won 50 games from 2012 to 2014.
