ORACE (KFGO AM) A concerned citizens group fighting a proposed cutback at the Horace Post Office has picked up an important ally. The Horace City Council has agreed to join the campaign to convince the Postal Service and state leaders to reverse the plan.
John Koerselman with "Concerned Citizens of 58047" says the proposal to cut back hours of the Horace Post Office is based on outdated information that ranks both business and revenue of each office. He says that information doesn't reflect the growing area that Horace serves.
Koerselman says the city council will assist by sending out a news letter to postal customers about what's happening and what's at stake. Koerselman says the big concern is that the cut in service will lead to closure.
