FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- The funeral for Jim "Fang" Maroney will be held at the Fargo Air Museum.
Long-time friend and Fargo Airsho Committee Co-chair Dick Walstad says the service will be at 2pm Monday at the museum on 19th ave. no.
Maroney, a former commander with the 119th wing of the Air National Guard in Fargo, died Sunday when his aerobatic "Super Chipmunk" crashed into the side of a mountain near Knoxville, Tennessee. Maroney lived in Wisconsin and was on his way to an air show in Florida.
Walstad says he expects 500 people may attend the service. He says Delta Airlines, where Maroney was a pilot, is planning to charter two buses from the Twin Cities for airline employees.
