FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- Cass County has submitted a bill to BNSF Railway for its costs related to the December train derailment on the edge of Casselton.
Auditor Mike Montplaisir says it would cover overtime for the sheriff's office and road department. The county is asking for about $33,000 in reimbursement.
Montplaisir says he expects that the railroad will pay the bill after the county signs a release.
