FARGO, ND. (KFGO AM) -- Bids have come in $300,000 lower than expected for renovation of the former CVS-Sunmart building in south Fargo.
The building will be the new home of Fargo-Cass Public Health.
City Administrator Pat zavoral says the bids totaled about $7.6 million.
Besides Public Health, the vacant building at 13th avenue and 25th street will also house a police station, and possibly, the county coroner's office.
The city purchased the property for $3 million.
Zavoral says a start date for work on the building should be determined in about a month.
The renovation is expected to take 4 to 18 months.
