FARGO, ND (KFGO AM) -- An early Spring storm has brought a wintery mix to the region--snow to the north--rain to the south, including the Fargo-Moorhead area.
A "Winter Weather Advisory" is posted until 7:00 tonight for a wide area, including Fargo-Moorhead, Devils Lake, Mayville, Valley City Park Rapids, and Mahnomen.
The rain is expected to turn over to snow later this morning.
To the north, a "Winter Storm Warning" is in effect until 7:00 tonight.
That includes Grand Forks, Grafton, Crookston, Thief River Falls, Roseau, and Hallock.
Snow accumulations of 2-6 inches possible across that area.
The Walsh and Pembina County sheriff's offices tell us the snow has tapered off with about an inch accumulation, but roads are slush covered and slippery.
The Roseau and Lake of the Woods County sheriff's departments report heavy wet snow that's reduced visibilities and made for tough travel conditions with snowfall ranging from 2-to-4 inches.
