FARGO (KFGO AM) A landmark in North Fargo is coming down in the next week. The vacant brick and steel building that housed the F-M Curling Club for nearly 50-years at 10th Street and 17th Avenue will be demolished and replaced by a parking lot to help ease traffic problems at the nearby Carlson Coliseum and Teamsters Arena with an additional 40 parking spots.
The building, owned by the curling club, was built on land leased from the Park District. District spokesman Clay Whittlesey it was worn out and time to go.
The F-M Curling Club moved into a new $2.7 million dollar building next to the Southwest Youth Ice Arena on land also leased from the Park District.
