CASSELTON, ND (KFGO-AM) - North Dakota State Sen. George Sinner of Fargo says he will seek the Democratic endorsement to run for the U.S. House. Sinner made the announcement to a roomful of supporters in his hometown of Casselton.

Sinner tells KFGO News that the main issues of his campaign are yet to be determined. “Well, I think the issues will come out on their own as time goes on.” Sinner said. “I don’t want to get into that right now. The central message of my campaign is that the work comes first, we need to find solutions to our problems. We need to work together.”

Sinner says he's neither a "left wing liberal" or a "right-wing idealogue." Sinner says politically, he's "somewhere in the middle" -- and compared himself to Minnesota 7th District Congressman Collin Peterson.

Sinner first indicated he was interested in the race several months ago.  When asked why it took so long to get into the race, Sinner said “I needed some things to work out.  That’s all I’ll say.”

Sinner is seeking the seat now held by Republican Kevin Cramer.
