MOORHEAD, Minn. (KFGO-AM) - The owner of the Buffalo River Race Park in Glyndon is facing criminal charges for violating the terms of the park's conditional use permit. Clay county prosecutors have filed one count against race park owner Kevin Nathe.
Assistant county attorney Jenny Samarzja says the violation occurred last week during the U.S. Air Force "Snocross" snowmobile races.
“The current status of the conditional use permit for that property only allows Snocross operation on Saturday and Sunday.” Samarzja said. “Technically, the Friday operation of the Snocross event was a violation of the permit.”
The charge is a misdemeanor. County planning officials tell KFGO News that the violation could result in the revocation of the race park's entire permit.
