Browerville, Minn. (MNN) A 57-year-old Bemidji man is dead after the semi he was driving was struck by an Amtrack passenger train near Browerville friday.
The Todd County Sheriff's Office says the semi driver, Donald Hedlund, failed to stop at a railroad crossing when the collision with the Empire Builder occurred. Hedlund died at the scene.
Two passengers on the train were taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for their injuries. Several other passengers on the train reported minor injuries.
