MOORHEAD, Minn. - Charges have been filed against a Clay County jail inmate accused of assaulting a corrections officer.
Lt. Steve Landsem says 24-year-old Damien Heninger punched the officer in the face; knocking him unconscious. Landsem tells KFGO News the assault happened Friday while Heninger was being moved to another facility.
The corrections officer was treated and released.Heninger is being held on a Clay county domestic assault warrant and another charge out of South Dakota.
