MAHNOMEN, Minn. (KFGO AM) -- A huge fire on Main Street in Mahnomen.
Ten fire departments fought the fire in windchills of 20 below.
The blaze was reported just after 2 am Friday. The building was a former barber shop that now has apartments on the first and second levels.
Sheriff Doug Krier tells KFGO news, three occupants got out safely.
Fire crews poured lots of water on nearby buildings to keep the fire from spreading.
Krier says that side of the street is "one big block of ice."
The fire was a block south of the First National Bank and next to the NAPA Auto Parts store.
