BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Sen. Kelly Armstrong of Dickinson is the new chairman of the North Dakota Republican Party.
Armstrong was unanimously elected at a state committee meeting Saturday in Bismarck. Armstrong replaces Robert Harms, who did not seek re-election.
Armstrong is an attorney and vice president of Armstrong Corp. He was elected to the Senate in 2012.
Armstrong will serve a two-year term as the GOP party chairman, a position that promotes Republican policies and candidates in the state.
