GRAFTON, N.D. (AP) - Authorities have recovered the body of a woman from a car that plunged into a river in northeastern North Dakota.
Grafton police got a report of a missing person just after 4:30 p.m. Saturday. That led authorities to the bank of Park River.
The Grand Forks County sheriff's department dive team was called in along with other agencies. The vehicle was retrieved around 11 p.m., and the woman's body was found inside.
Police identify the woman as 51-year-old Carolina Mendoza of Grafton.
An autopsy is planned. Police continue to investigate.
