BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Four new judgeships approved by the North Dakota Legislature will be based in Williston, Watford City, Mandan and Dickinson.
The North Dakota Supreme Court announced the locations this week.
North Dakota Chief Justice Gerald VandeWalle appealed to lawmakers earlier this year to approve the new judgeship to help with an increasing caseload keep caused by the state's booming oil economy.
North Dakota currently as 47 trial judges, including three that were added two years ago at VandeWalle's request.
