Gander, Newfoundland (KFGO-AM) Derek Olson of Fargo, who was pulled off an American Airlines flight last weekend because of drunk and violent behavior appeared in a Canadian court Friday.

He was ordered to pay almost $58,000 in fines. $48,000 covers the cost of landing the aircraft at Gander, and an additional $10,000 fine was handed down with conditions not to consume alcohol over a one year period.
