BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota lawmakers have picked the subjects they will study as they prepare for the next session of the Legislature.
The topics include agriculture, education, energy, election and human services issues.
A total of 44 studies will be assigned to interim committees. The number and membership of the Legislature's interim committees will be decided next month.
The Legislative Management Committee chose the subjects during a meeting Wednesday. The council is a 17-member committee of lawmakers. Its chairman is Republican Sen. Raymon Holmberg of Grand Forks.
