ST. PAUL, MN (KFGO-AM) -- The Minnesota Board of Animal Health has confirmed that at least five dogs were infected with a new strain of influenza.
It is believed all of the dogs were most likely exposed to dog flu when they were at the lucky dog boarding and training center in Detroit Lakes.
All of the dogs have fully recovered.
The dogs began showing signs of the illness early last month. They all developed a cough ran fevers and some had a runny nose.
Its believed that the virus was spread by a dog from the Chicago area which was staying at the boarding and training center in early April.
