FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- Oliver may have been found. The pomeranian-chihuahua mix ran off from a rollover near Casselton, N.D. about a year-and-half ago.
His owner, from Great Falls, Montana, and volunteers spent weeks looking for the dog, a reward was offered and Oliver was even featured on billboards.
A dog who looks similar to Oliver was found a couple of weeks ago and wound up at Homeward Animal Shelter in Fargo. Shelter mgr. Heather Clyde says two daughters of owner John Kellems' drove to Fargo this week and took the dog back to Montana.
They're not positive it's Oliver, but they believe it could be him. His coat is a bit darker than when Oliver disappeared, but his mannerisms are very similar.
Clyde says Kellem may have a DNA test done to determine if its his long lost dog. In any event, Kellem has adopted the dog.
