CASS COUNTY, N.D. - A former nurse at the Cass County Jail has changed her plea to guilty.
Claire Schwehr of Dilworth now admits delivering an electronic device to an inmate and sexual abuse of a ward. The sexual abuse charge was dropped from a felony to a misdemeanor, meaning she will not have to register as a sex offender. A sentencing date has not been set.
Schwehr worked for Fargo-Cass Public Health when prosecutors say she provided the inmate with a cellphone, tobacco and beef jerky.
The inmate claims she eventually seduced him.
