CHANHASSEN, Minn (KFGO AM) -- A storm moving into Minnesota today might be the worst of the season.

Meteorologists say the system is moving in from the south, and will be much stronger because it will include more gulf moisture and produce heavier snow.

A "Blizzard Warning is in effect for south central and southeast Minnesota, and Rochester and the surrounding area, could see as much as a foot of snow.

East central Minnesota is under a "Winter Storm Warning".

Areas from southwest Minnesota into the central part of the state have a "Winter Weather Advisory" in place.

The storm is expected to include wind gusts of up to 50 miles per hour and produce white out conditions.

The National Weather Service is calling the storm potentially life threatening.
