FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- The Fargo City Hall Building Committee has voted to adopt an architect's recommendations for scaling back the cost of the project.
The city commission rejected bids for the project in March, when the lowest bid came in at more than $30 million. Mayor Tim Mahoney says the revised project lowers the cost to around $27 million. Underground parking and the use of less expensive materials helped bring the cost down.
The building committee's recommendation was unanimous. it now goes to the city commission for final approval.
