FARGO (KFGO-AM) - A stove fire forced the temporary evacuation of residents of an apartment building at 3025 10th Street North in Fargo Tuesday afternoon.
Firefighters found smoke in the hallways and the fire burning in a second floor apartment. They were able to put it out with quickly. One firefighter received minor injuries while making forced entry into the apartment.
Battalion Chief Bruce Anderson says no one was home at the time and it appears a burner left on ignited a pan of oil, burning the wall and cabinets around the stove. There was heat and smoke damge to the rest of the apartment. The loss is put at $20,000.
