FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- A very large storm system dumped lots of rain across the region over the weekend.

Just over 2 1/2 inches of rain was reported at Hector International Airport, in Fargo, Sunday.  That's a record amount for the date.

The rain caused widespread street flooding in the FM area that sent police, and street crews, scrambling to barricade off low spots.

Monday morning, the Sheyenne Street underpass, at I-94, in West Fargo remained flooded and closed to traffic.

The heavy rain flooded a sub-station in Moorhead, knocking out power to about 1,500 customers for about a half hour.

While the last remanants of the storm move out of the region Monday, much of the area (incliding Fargo-Moorhead) is under a wind advisory until 1pm, with gusts of 45mph possible, and a freeze warning has been issued for Monday night from 9pm to 9am Tueday morning with overnight lows dropping into the 20's.
