MINOT, N.D. (AP) - The superintendent and high school principal in Sawyer says he's innocent of sex crime allegations.
Fifty-year-old Charles Soper is accused of meeting a 15-year-old boy for sex nearly a dozen times between November and April.
Soper hasn't yet entered formal pleas to charges of human trafficking, corruption or solicitation of minors and luring minors by computer. But he professed his innocence during a court appearance Wednesday.
A judge set bond at $250,000, and Soper's preliminary hearing was scheduled for June 11th. He could face life in prison without parole if convicted.
Sawyer School Board President Cody Roteliuk says Soper has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the criminal investigation.
