SAWYER, ND (KFGO-AM) - The superintendent and principal of Sawyer Public School has been arrested. Fifty-year-old Charles Soper is charged with human trafficking, luring a minor and rruption after having a relationship with a 15-year-old boy.
Authorities say Soper contacted the boy through social media in November and the relationship lasted through this spring.
Police seized computers and other evidence at his home in Minot.
He is being held in the Ward County Jail and is expected to appear in court tomorrow.
Soper is a Devils Lake native and graduate of UND.
In addition to teaching in Walhalla in the late 80's, he held jobs at schools in Fort Totten, Beach and in Colorado.
