FARGO, ND. (KFGO AM) -- A Moorhead man will be spending 18-1/2 years behind bars for his role in a methamphetamine case.
26-year old Juan Cerna, was sentenced in Fargo Federal Court for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distribution of a controlled substance.
The conspiracy involved the transportation of kilogram-quantities of meth from Texas that were distributed in the Fargo-Moorhead area.
Two co-conspirators also obtained large quantities of marijuana from the Minneapolis area and distributed it locally.
35-year old Steven Schmidt, of Fargo was sentenced to five years, and 26-year old Brandon Elsenpeter, was sentenced to three years' probation for his involvement.
Cerna's brother, David Cerna Jr., pleaded guilty during trial and will be sentenced in April.
