GRAFTON, N.D. (AP) -- A Grafton man accused of possessing explosive devices has been sentenced to serve about 2 1/2 years in prison and then spend another three on probation.

Sixty-two-year-old Gregory Sevigny faced six felony charges related to possessing explosives, preventing arrest and terrorizing after an hours-long standoff with law officers at his home on Nov. 29.

He could have faced up to 30 years in prison if convicted on all charges. Court documents show he recently reached an agreement with prosecutors under which he pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing explosives, and the remaining charges were dismissed.

Sevigny also reached a plea deal on charges of violating a no-contact order. Fines and fees for all of the charges levied against him total about $2,200.
